we how to make a weather graph on google spreadsheets for our maths it was fun because we were learning something new  it was easy because i had some help from mrs g my next step is to make a comparative spreadsheet

This is my speech i presented it for my class and got 3rd it took me 2 days to memorize my speech maybe i would of got first but it was fun anyway i was nervous at the start then when i started the nerves went away i hope you enjoy it and agree with me

WAL to identify persuasive techniques.  We had to figure out which technique they were using.  We had practised these techniques in the skits we created.  For example

They dress up like a scientist so we believe their expert opinion

Walt: look on our own for new words to increase they amount of word

Learning reflection 

When we read chapter books and we find words we don't understand and put them in this sheet.Then we use the thesaurus to find out what the word means.Then we write what the word means in the second box.

Next time I could put my words in the right section,as you can see there are A-D and E-I and more. 

Camp Merc Acrostic Poem

Walt: Edit and revise my writing for clarity and impact in response feedback 

I was able to change some of my sentences to make them better from Mrs P and she told me to change the sentence to make it say My skit was is it time yet.

Next time I will work on making better sentences  in my work

My favorite part about camp merc was rock climb because it was awesome because the rocks felt so real and you got up so high.

Statistics

Walt : display data on histogram, tally chart

Walt : interpret information from histograms and tally marks eg. medium, mode, range, mean

I was able to use the scores to make my histogram

• The range for the first name scores is 4 to 20 
• The range for the last name scores is 2 to 21 
• The range for the full name scores is 9 to 31

I really liked this but at first it was it was a bit tricky because i hardly knew what to do when I knew what to do and got some help it still was a bit tricky. When you get to the statistical challenge when you get to the mode that is the score that is the most common. I got help by using the calculator. 

45 Letter Sounds

Walt: Use different spelling patterns and strategies to increase my word knowledge

There are 45 letters sounds in the English language.  Sometimes these sounds are made by one letter and sometimes they are a made by a group of letters together.  Learning these letter sounds will help me spell unknown tricky words and increase my word knowledge

House captain speech

Today i presented a speech to be a house captain in front of my house shared my house captain speech.I wasent going to do it but i decided to do right when i got there. I demostrated resilience by not giving up and kept trying.

Walt : use advanced punctuation

We have learning how to use bullet points correctly in my 10 Things About Me slideshow.  I learnt you need to :

• Place the bullet point in the margin.
• Use a capital letter after the bullet point.
• If you have written a sentence, end it with a punctuation eg. fullstop.
• Bullet points are used to create lists.
• Find the bullet points icon on the right hand side at top of the tool bar called bullet lists.
• You have have to be in a text box to find the bullet point icon 

Next time I will try and use bullet points in more of writing.

I am looking foward to camp,  rugby interschool swimming representing my school  and PB4L and  all the fun things that we are doing this year.

My Goal for this year is:

• To get 100 ticks.
• To get the sportsmanship award.
• To get in to the swimming team.
• To be a permediator 
• To get into cross country 
• Make it in to interschool
