Term 1 Week 7

yesterday we did a 100 word  challenge were we had  to write 100 words or more  I had a really good story. after that the bell rang for morning tea.

Place value

I was learning to read numbers up to 100 and to say which is bigger or smaller.

The thing that helped me most was:
- using my basic facts to help with bigger numbers
- remembering to look at the left to see if the digits are bigger
- practising on Mathletics

My next step is to read numbers up to 1000

African Praise Poem

My Reflection

I have been learning to write an African Praise Poem.  I found this work tricky because there aren't animals that describe me.  My next step is to be better at writing.

Term 1 Week 6

Last Tuesday we went to youth town. We played a caching me and Kayde  were partners.  We won and then we learnt a new game it was to help us with  our  spacing. I was in they non bibs team i think we  won but it was the second best game that I have played.

Term 1 Week 5

2 weeks ago we room went   28 we went   to te tuhi  for a school trip  so we could learn more about tapa cloth. We made one ourself it was fun  we made something  I think  it was a tapa cloth.

Term 1 Week 4

Last week we went to youth town we played capture the flag.It was awesome.  The non bibs won. We won all the games.

Welcome to my year 4 learning blog. This year I am in Room 28/29  and my teachers are Mrs. Melville and Mrs. Graham. I enjoy playing Mathletics. I am looking forward to the class sleepover. I hope you will enjoy reading my blog and leave lots of feedback.
